Our Commitment to Privacy

Data Storage

The extension stores the following information locally on your device using Chrome's local storage:

• Keyword filters - Your custom list of words to filter games
• Display mode preference - Whether you prefer to hide or grey out filtered games
• Theme preference - Your choice between modern or classic theme
• Filter metadata - Timestamps and import status for organizational purposes
• Automatic backups - Up to 3 recent backups of your filters for data recovery
• Export format preference - Your default format choice for exporting filters
• UI preferences - Settings like disclaimer dismissal status

This data is stored primarily in local storage, which provides:

• Higher storage capacity (5-10MB vs 100KB for sync storage)
• Faster access and better performance
• More reliable storage for large filter lists

The extension attempts to sync your data to Chrome's sync storage for cross-device support, but if you have too many filters (exceeding the sync quota), it will only use local storage. This means:

• If sync is successful, your filters sync across Chrome browsers when signed in
• If sync quota is exceeded, your filters remain local-only
• Either way, your data is never sent to our servers or any third parties
• Sync functionality is handled entirely by Chrome's built-in system

Security Features

The extension includes multiple security measures to protect you:

• Input validation - All keywords are validated and sanitized to prevent malicious code injection
• File validation - Imported files are checked for size (1MB limit) and type (only .txt and .json allowed)
• XSS prevention - HTML tags, scripts, and dangerous characters are automatically removed
• Automatic backups - Your filters are automatically backed up (last 3 versions) to prevent data loss

If malicious content is detected in imported files, it will be blocked and you'll be warned. Only safe, validated keywords are added to your filters.

We still highly recommend you stay vigilant and double check ALL files before you import.

Permissions Explained

The extension requires the following permissions to function:

• Storage - To save your filter preferences, settings, and automatic backups locally in your browser
• Host Permission (specific Roblox pages) - Limited access to only these 4 Roblox pages where games are displayed:
  • www.roblox.com/home
  • www.roblox.com/charts
  • www.roblox.com/discover
  • www.roblox.com/communities

These permissions are used only for the core functionality of the extension. We cannot and do not access:

• Your Roblox account information
• Your account settings or password
• Your Robux or transactions
• Any other websites or pages
• Your personal information

Third Parties

We do not share, sell, transfer, or provide access to any data to third parties. There are no:

• Analytics or tracking services
• Advertisements
• External servers or databases
• Data collection of any kind

Your browsing habits and filter preferences remain completely private and local to your device.

Backups and Data Recovery

The extension automatically creates backups of your filters to prevent data loss:

• Backups are created locally whenever you modify your filters
• Up to 3 most recent backups are kept
• Backups include your keywords, metadata, and settings
• You can manually export your filters at any time as .txt or .json files
• All backups and exports remain on your device only

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the extension or legal requirements. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Major changes will be highlighted in the extension's update notes.
